Memory #2: Abso-%@%ing-lutely.

One of my most favorite places used to be my futon.
That thing followed me everywhere from my first apartment to the third. Kelly and I used it as our living room couch for 3 years which means endless hours watching Dawson's Creek (I know...I know) and Sex and the City.
I think in some ways we were waiting there (with wine) for our lives to begin – while Mr. Big (the cat, not the character) tugged at our hair.

I realize this is ridiculous, but I'm horrible at caricature, so instead of wasting my time and yours, there he is: Chris Noth in his glorious town car. (Oh, and that's Kelly - 10ish years ago on the left.) I decided to limit the blog to only visual profanity :) - but if you watched the show you know exACTly what scene this is.

  1. This blog is so freakin cute. So, I don't know this scene yet... but I am currently watching this entire sex and the city show on dvd, borrowed from a friend, because she said I "had to". I never had hbo, and I was told it was equivalent to sinning to watch it on tbs... so here i go! Ps. I was a huge Felicity and D.Creek fan so I do know haha. And I love love the illustration of you with the cat hat!!!

  5. Hey thank you for commenting on my blog, looking at comments definitly hhelps. but i struggled to learn from that because i saw what the good ones looked life, problem was i just didnt know what made them good. i can tell good storyboards, its the how and the why thats the hard part haha. the camera help me answer those questions. Cars are so oomuch fun to draw.. the best way to start drawing cars is start with just a shape. they give it a dashboard and wheels. and presto. youve got a vehicle....the rest of it is just for show. draw random squiggles and see where you can put wheels on them. thats a fun way i get started sometimes. i like your work..thanks again for stopping by!
